Confessions of a YarnHo

I am truly a YarnHo, there I confess. Saturday, I went to Do Ewe Knit for the Yarn Habit’s trunk show.  Yes I grabbed a skein that may or may not be orange, but that’s not the point.  Who is also waiting (not patiently) for the new yarn from Wool and the Gang? Yarn simply makes me happy 😊

It is currently 3:18 AM and I am trying as hard as I can to NOT pick up my 2nd Avenue wrap and continue knitting.

My progress is moving along quite quickly but the color I am on now is addictive. This Primo fingering in Frond is giving me all sorts of pleasure.

The color has me torn in half. I want to knit more to see how it looks with the other colors, yet I want to slow down so it’s doesn’t end. Lol! I need help, please DO NOT send help

I am truly enjoying this latest Amy Miller pattern. The fact that she breaks up all the stockinette in such a way that makes you race to the next section, is pure genius.

I am close to the final stripe section and I promise this internal fight NOT to knit is real. This blog post is me showing self-control. Lol, I could write this without turning the lights on, because if I lay eyes on my new baby…sleep be damned.

Are you a YarnHo? Does the yarn dictate your actions? Does the yarn pimp you out?  Do you race through a project just to get to the next? Or is it just me?

It’s 4:04 am and the yarn is the reason I’m still awake.

Knit on my fiber friends….knit on

  1. I was awake too!! Lol. What messes me up is finishing! I have a slew of projects that are NOT even finished. This summer I am going to concentrate finishing all old projects…. after I get my hands on that new WATG Tina yarn! Lol! What kit did you get, or did you just get yarn? Yes, yarn always pimps me out and dictates my actions!!! I like my pimps soft, chunky and colorful!!!

  2. Good morning!
You’re not the only one. The more stressful my day, the more I think about getting back to my knitting.
Working with my unicorn tails, I can’t wait to get to the next color. I play games with myself. 3 unicorn tails, than 3 cashmere minis, and back and forth. What you’re working on is gorgeous. Can’t wait to start mine, but I have to. Keep on knitting. Its what keeps us sane
