Finished Friday on a Monday

I finished and it is not Friday. LOL It’s been a minute since I last posted an FO and that is because I can NOT do multiple WIPS. I truly don’t understand how folks have multiple projects going at once. I promise I would never ever finish anything.

Did I share  when I was gifted the beautiful yarn from Chelsea Yarns? Check out the video below

Yes that beautiful yarn, which she named GG, is what I used on my latest finished object. The pattern is the European Road Trip Shawl by Lisa from Espace Tricot. Not only does this pattern create a simply chic shawl it’s FREE! I linked it up there if you would like to make your own.

I started this project back in April. The 17th to be exact and I was determined to finish and not start the Cocoknits project. This was the first time I was tempted because I had received my gradient yarn from Plucky AND you all know how I love Julie (cocoknits) and Plucky…but I didn’t give up. I kept knitting!

Christina gave me 2 hanks initially but I needed another. I reached out to see if I could purchase one more skein and she said she would dye more for me. When I went the the Asylum Fibers Trunk-show, we realized this batch was darker and therefore couldn’t be used. HA! It’s orange right? Welp, let’s finally fade..from to uhm ORANGE!! hahahahahahahaha

This past Saturday I realized it was time to decrease and listen, there was no way I was going to bed without finishing. Insert 3am Sunday morning and who was up taking pictures? Hahahahahahaaa That would be me. I was so happy that I had finally finished.
NOTE: if you can knit, purl, increase and decrease YOU CAN MAKE ONE TOO!

3am Sunday

So I got up, wrapped up my hair, brushed a little powder on my face and grabbed my orange lipstick! Yup, had a straight up photo shoot because I was so very happy with my latest project!

9am Monday

Who jumped up with the Shawl on her mind? *raises hand* I said “self? we need to take this baby outside in the sunlight” and that is what I did. I got dressed, grabbed my iPhone8, went outside, set the timer and started taking pictures of myself. Here are my favorites:

  1. Seriously?! You are so beautiful! I think it’s your inner joy that shines through. And that orange! It’s like that color was created for YOU!

What Ann Seely said. I was feeling a bit down, then opened this up. Smiling over here at the sheer beauty of your work and – even more so, YOU! Thank you, GG. I needed just this, just now. -Margaret aka Peggy p.s. wish I could send you a picture of my bedspread from college – basically the same color(s).

I am the opposite….I NEED more than one WIP, lol!! I am easily bored…so, find having multiple projects going, I can head to another, when one is not ‘grabbing’ me anymore!
LOVE this shawl…its stunning, and simply gorgeous on YOU!! Love your blogs..they make my heart happy cuz you put so much joy out there!!
Just finished my Sophie Shawl, and my first pair of socks!!! Started a second pair, onto the second sock tonite! Also working on the Xuan wrap, another shawl, and contemplating casting on the Nymphalidea shawl….I am definitely crazy…and likely ADD, lol!!

    1. See Nicki I wish I could do that, my brain won’t allow me to though. Once I start a thing, it has all of my attention. Just reading all of your projects made my head hurt! LOL God Bless you Lady!
