It’s more than just cotton, it’s more than an accessory that you grab when you are heading out of the house for the day. This shawl, wrap, scarf or whatever name fits best has a significant meaning in my life. It is so much more than what is appears, because I was finishing it up when my dad slipped away from me, because it was the barrier to hide my tears when I realized…no MORE daddy, because it kept me warm on that day in May two years ago when I said my final goodbye and although it was May I was freezing. This shawl kept me warm, when my HEART was cold, it captured my tears when others felt my emotions were old. It’s MORE than a shawl….

Blessings to you Gaye and my condolences on the loss of your father. I know what you mean about it is more than a shawl. You are a stronger person than I – the scarf I was working on when my husband passed a year ago is now gracing the neck and shoulders of someone else – I just could not find the strength to finish it ….. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll regret having given it away, but I could not look at it without crying. Again, my condolences, I hope that each day you continue to remember your father with love and gratitude.
