Knitting on the road

As you all know I do contract work which requires travel AND Knitting on planes and such. So about a week ago I asked a question on Facebook. I asked “when traveling does one pack enough yarn for the stay or find a yarn store and buy more yarn?” Lol the answers had me laughing so hard.

yes….just….yes….

Is both an option? I definitely pack enough, and I might map out any LYS beforehand. ๐Ÿ™‚

Only pack my current project to leave room for purchases…hehehe

Both. Silly lady! Lmao

The overwhelming response was do both, which is what I normally do. I started to bring a brand new project but I had these UFOs that were haunting me so that is what I packed. The Profusion Cowl and my double knitting blanket ๐Ÿ™„ (we will talk about that blanket in a minute)

I am in Texas until the 18th and my goal is to hit up Madelinetosh ๐Ÿ˜ BUT they have us working 10 hour days and Saturdays. I am all in my feelings. Who do I talk to about the required knitting time? Huh? Who will I take THAT concern to? ย The teacher always asks “what questions do you have?” And I am fighting myself to not say “when do I have time to knit and find yarn stores and such?”

That is my “when is my knitting break face?” Somebody better tell them knitting keeps me calm.

I finished my Profusion by Karen MaCall and couldn’t be more satisfied.

This project is a must. It’s a mindless knit, which is perfect for travel if you ask me. What, you didn’t ask me? Lol So! The end result even without blocking is a masterpiece you will be proud to say “I made it!”

The main question has been about the yarn. Well thank God for having a stash because although I purchased the Frajous Fibers & Wonderland Yarns mini skeins for this I didn’t get enough ๐Ÿ™„. Of course Karen didn’t have the same colors anymore, don’t you hate when that happens?

Thank God for my overflowing stash, because who had left over Nice & Knit? Say it with me “GG did!” And who had the perfect colors? Yup that would be me! ย I mean it’s in the Orange family, so yea you know I had THAT color covered ๐Ÿ˜‚

I am in love! So now I’m gonna work on this blanket. That I am truly not enjoying and want to take out. I swear it’s like I’ll never ever finish it. I’m over it. But it’s for a friend and well, yea I am NOT ย going to Tosh this weekend because I need to put some mileage in this thing.

I will update you guys on the blanket next post. So when you travel what do you do, pack or shop?

Knit on my fiber friends…knit on
