This week in the world of GGmadeit

This week I finished another project AND I got yarn in the mail 😋 check it out! A week in the life of a yarnho, hahahahahahahaa

As you all know I was gifted the fabulous Billie Jean Yarn from Wool and the Gang and I made the Pop Life Cardigan (that gets a post of it’s own). Well I also had some extra because well they are AWESOMENESS!!! So I searched Ravelry and found the Verdant shrug by Gina Bonomo aka SkeinCocaine. The yardage was right and the shrug is super cute. You all know I love texture and this project gave me a new stitch to obsess over. The stitch is calledRich  Man’s Garter Stitch, I loved it so much I did a YouTube video. Check it out here

I was so very pleased that I was up super late having a private photo shoot lol! Don’t mind the bed head!

So then I panicked because I didn’t have any yarn left and I hadn’t found any yarn stores close to me (I’m gonna head back to Fourpurls soon) I did have some leftover from my shoes. Yes I made me some shoes because Wool and the gang ROCKS! I am going to make an iCord necklace with the MIXTAPE yarn that I used for my Espadrilles.

But when that was done then what? Life has been tough, last week  my car was stolen back at home and I have a full on cold ugh!! I need to knit to stay sane. Then the fiber Gods smiled down on me, yup they did! Sonder Yarns sent me some ORANGE sock weight yarn…all I right with the world! Yea it is!

I was so happy that I recorded my glee check it out here I am starting to get the YouTube channel back on track so if you haven’t done so already please subscribe. oh and how was your week?

Knit on my fiber friends…knit on

  1. GG sweetie, I love you and I love your yarn stories and your gorgeous knitted art work but I cannot read all caps text. My brain just shuts down. I’m going to have to copy the whole thing and “paste matching style” in order to read this. Sorry.

  2. Maureen Arscott

OMG! I just had a dream that somebody’s car was stolen and I did not know who! Now I know who! That is just freaky.

  3. OK – did the paste thing and read your post – OMG somebody stole your car??? Has it been recovered yet? This is terrible! I deduce that you’re out of town for your job – how awful not to be able to be there to deal with it. Well, I hope you get it back undamaged. *keeping fingers crossed*

And your shrug is lovely, and that stitch is GREAT! I’m going to have to use it in a scarf – later toward cold weather. Thanks for making that video!

  4. I’m so glad it sounds like your smile is back. Stolen car not so fun, but you were far away from it and you are safe and it’s metal. Your value is precious. The car, hopefully, somehow can be replaced. Do you have any mechanic friends? My husband works on cars, so we get real cheap ones on Craig’s list. You just need someone to check it over. It might help for awhile. Hope you stay knitting happy!
