Even though I am Fat and Sassy as all get out, this post is about the yarn, not me! LOL! I finally got the chance to knit up some of the Fat n Sassy from Tjockt and guys honestly, I am in love! Remember I did the post I have a crush on you? Yea well this feelings I have is real. I may be in a relationship with this yarn LOL! Help me ya’ll I am hooked. Can you get locked up for stalking yarn? I need to know.
I won’t talk about me being lazy and the instant gratification, I simply won’t. What I will discuss is the dramatic presentation of the stitch. I mean this stuff knits up like WOW! I used my baby Giant needles from Go-Girl Knitting (picture above) and in less than an hour I was done. This is an infinity scarf that took one ball of Fat n Sassy. I should have measured it before I used it, but oh well! On the company website you will find this definition “100% finest extrafine merino wool. Yarn is spun in Finland. The wool originates from Australia from non-mulesing certified supplier which is one of the finest merino wools in the world.” I would like to add sexy as hell to the description Alex for $500 because baby, this yarn, THIS YARN!!
You see how that fat fiber shines and presents those stitches in such a way. OMG it was love at first sight. I am blessed enough to have has the ability to work with 3 different colors; the blues, green and peach. Each of colors are just as vibrant as the next.
I will let you see the other colors as they are equally as beautiful. As I said before I used a US50 and a US120 for needles. The scarf above I used the US120 and I love the material that is created. I don’t think I would like it on a smaller needle but I will try. I also made a cowl and a caplet, please see pictures below
Can you stand it? Look at those stitches, FANTASTIC
Thick n Finn is having a contest and get this….the prize is a years worth of Tjock yarn. Yea you read it right, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. I said a YEARS WORTH OF YARN. Thick and Finn is the exclusive provider here in the states. Check the link now, I think you still have time to enter. A year’s worth..my goodness that’s awesome!
The next set of pictures is the caplet that I made up as I went along. I am loving the fact that you can wear it on the shoulder or off, if you are feeling provocative. Another option is to fold down the top and have a big ass Tjockt cowl.
Are you drooling yet? Are know you are, but can you get your fingers off the screen you can’t touch it, even though when I first stumbled across this yarn, I fondled the screen too. LOL but no I really did! I still have some red Fat N Sassy to knit up just not sure why to make.
Are you a fat fiber lover? Each and every time I am tagged in a picture where someone is trying fat fibers for the first time I get so excited. What about you, what do you think of super duper thick yarn?
Knit on my fiber friends….knit on
