I’m home and not a moment too soon! I am blessed to have a job and I am grateful, but I swear there is nothing like coming home. I got home and headed right to Do Ewe Knit..but that is a different post. This post is about my new friends Pat, Kathy, Sandra, Marina and Linda
Those of you that know/follow me are well aware that when I travel I must fine yarn. I found 2 great yarn stores while in Rochester and I blogged about them here and here. I am spoiled at home because I have so many yarn stores to obsess over but the bonus of this visit to Rochester was the Tuesday night knitting divas (I have decided that is their name)
As stated in a previous post I stumbled across them one night after a particularly bothersome day and I instantly knew, whatever Tuesday had to offer, I could come knit my way through it with these divas. They all live in the neighborhood and I think it’s super awesome that the hotel (Staybridge Suites) allows them to use the space to knit. They epitomize why I love the knitting community. I have found that knitters are particularly friendly; that is why I love knitting in public. I am guaranteed to have someone strike up a conversation because they knit or they want to knit.
I can’t thank these women enough for sharing their space and time with me. It was rewarding to listen to and talk with them. I want to say there is one other that wasn’t present when I took this picture, but I was determined to stop and say goodbye to them. I didn’t knit that last night but I sat and talked with them one last time before I traveled back home. I truly feel blessed to have met them and will think of them whenever I find myself knitting on a Tuesday night.
Knit on my fiber friends….Knit on
