As we enter the season of YarnCrawls all over the country. I wanted to share a few pics from the Garden State Yarn Crawl, circa 2013. My girlfriend and I hit ALL the shops; a total of fourteen (14). We did major damage, lol!! OH MY GOD I will NOT tell you the amount of money that was dropped that weekend…nope you can’t make me!
I crawled now I hope to walk, lol! This year the name has changed but the concept is basically the same. The NJWoolWalk takes place from April 24th – April 27th, with 19 shops full of YARNNNNNN!!! Isn’t that awesome? Can you imagine having access to that many yarn shops? You can find the details here, so go check it out. If I am home that weekend I will definitely hit up some shops, in the meantime here are some pics from last years crawl. If you see me walking, say Hey GG!!
Good morning, I’m so happy I came across your You Tube Channel. The one that caught my eye was the Stitches East. I told my crafting pal about you and the event right away and we have been fans ever since. I’m a crocheter, can’t knit to save me. But a yarnho just the same. Lol! Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff. Perhaps I’ll show you a pic of some my stuff.
Hi Altha!
Welcome and thanks for the support. Please share pics of your work I would love something else to drool over 😀. Facebook is probably the best place to do that. Have a great day!
Good morning, just a quick hello. Also trying to add a picture, not sure how to do it though. Can you help? Thanks have a great day in yarn.
Hi add a picture where?
Yarn Crawls are the best – looks like you and your knitting buddy had a great time. I do love the hot pink “holey” sweater with the stitch holder in the front that your girlfriend is wearing. Is that a pattern that is available somewhere? It is too cute! Loving your blog and inspiration GG!!!
Hi!! I am happy you are enjoying my ramblings. Yes that is a pattern, she purchased it. I will get the deers for you and get back to you ok?
Perfect! Have a fabulous day.
Q – Stop it!!! Now my hands are twitching to feel all of the yarns. You do know that torture is against the Geneva Convention right? Well, then why the heck are you torturing me? LOL! OMG! All that yarn and so little time, not to mention $$$$$. I think owning a yarn shop might be perfect for my addiction, then I come to me senses and realize I would buy the yarn and not want to sell it.
Love the yarn bombed statues. LOL! Looks as if you both had a great time.
It was a blast, it was my first and I was like a kid. I actually hid the bags from my then honey. He always said I was out of control. How dare he…hmph *rolls my eyes HARD*
Q – Hahahahahah!! Um, I don’t always show the Hubs when i’ve been out of control. LOL! But he damn well better not tell me I am! After 40 years he knows I get on compulsive kicks. A sad, sad story. It was my first visit to the Adirondacks (and the east coast) last September. We went to the Adirondack Fiber Festival and I didn’t have an empty suitcase so I could not buy everything in site! Poor me. Sob…….
Oh please every time I travel I wind up buying a bag to get my yarn back home 😜
Q – My last trip to Oahu in Nov for so-long-its-been-fun visit to our daughter before they moved back to San Diego I did bring an empty suitcase! I was prepared. Knew I’d be going to the fabulous swap meet and buying tons of fabric, etc! LOL!
I spin too, so I had to buy fiber at the festival! I put a dent in the wallet AND picked up cards from every vendor I liked to order online. LOL!
See we are kindred spirits, I knew it! Lol
