My stash is sufficient yet I keep buying more yarn. I mean when I see the yarn, fall in love and purchase; the goal is always to take it home and cast on. Ha! That never happens!
I still have yarn in my stash that I purchased during my first visit to a yarn shop 😳 Hell, the yarn in the featured picture I have had for 2 years 😱, yea I’m a YarnHo, to my core. You see that yarn, I promise you Laura from Rainbow Twist Shop gets me every time.
Feeding my stash when I’m unemployed is just not smart, so to keep the Etsy shop going I have been diving into what I already own.
That beautiful skein from Nicole Frost Yarn turn into this beauty! I grabbed some large needles, a US50 I think and knit this up in no time.
Then I found some Nikki (discontinued) by Cascade Yarns and made up shawls. Shawls that I couldn’t knit fast enough, they sold as fast as I made them 😊 I used the easier shawl ever pattern.
Of course I got the “what yarn is that?” question and I felt bad to advise they were discontinued ☹️
Me and Cascade yarns go together because I also had Casablanca in my collection; another one that is discontinued. The colors in this one blew my mind. I had to post it for sale before I decided to keep this one.
When I tell you this has been a Cascade Yarns time for me, because I also used Ecological Wool. I held it with Aztec Boucle to make what I call Still Winter Cowl. You can find the pattern for that here.
Am I alone? Do I have any stash busters here?
Knit on my fiber friends….knit on

I have been doing the same thing. I reorganized my yarn into smaller-sized clear plastic bins. Now, I can see what I have.
The best part of stash busting is you get to fall in love with your yarn all over again.
Yes I have been getting excited all over again
