It’s time for the Ravelry Roundup! This is where I share what as caught my eye, made me say “oh I have to make that like right now” or in this case made me grab yarn and needles and cast on baby!
I will start with the pattern that made me go stash diving, praying that I have enough to make this beauty. It’s called Glam Lamb By Westknits. It is a Funky Cardigan that can be worn two different ways. The most important part is it calls for Bulky yarn baby!! Oh yeah!! I am all over it!
Isn’t it gorgeous? I have a natural yarn I just need to decide on the sleeve color. Yes sir, I am so making this!! I mean I must!!
Then it was this hat that blew my mind.If you are a fan on my Facebook page, you saw this hat, at first I was upset because the link to the pattern was broken. I reached out to the designer and she fixed the link. I love her! On her blog she said she saw the hat in Anthropologie and decided she could make it and share it. I want to be there, I want to look at an item and then just come home and make it! God bless her generous heart!! So you know the hat calls for my favorite weight, super bulky which meant I could/would make it in no time flat. I finished the cowl for my daughter and she wore it today. Woot Woot so I wanted/needed something quick and fast.
The pattern is called Anthropologie Inspired Pom-Pom Hat by Jessica Parsons-Taylor. I knit the hat using my Burly Spun in Orange you Glad and US11 needles. One of my favorite shows was on all day, NCIS, and this hat only took about 2 episodes if that. The pattern is well written, with easy to follow instructions and produces a wonderful finished object. I am ABSOLUTELY making another one. Here is the pic that is on the pattern page.
and here is my version, I think I did a good job, what do you think?
Knit on my fiber friends…knit on
