A blog is how this all started. I had no idea what I was doing, but I wanted to connect to like minded people and here we are. I haven’t looked at that blog in so long, but it’s still there.
How many of you have been around since then? I think I started that in 2014 or earlier even. I need to get back to writing. The world has changed so much since I first started. So many things I wished for back then are now a reality. Anyway, hello 2025…I think
Today is ONLY the 11th day of the year. 2025 has already been a YEAR!! Southern California is on fire, Meta has lost their collective minds and I am totally afraid of what this administration will do to the world. SIGH!! What does any of this mean for the blog GG? Well, I am almost positive I will need an outlet. Writing has always been a way to let go, a way to release and combine this with knitting (which I haven’t been doing as much) this will be my way to remain at peace.
This year I want to be strategic and make my website and blog the main way to stay connected to me. I would like to maintain this wonderful community I have built…..right here! Because, at the end of the day, I don’t own Instagram (64K) or Facebook (10K) or Threads (18K) or any other social platform out there..but I do own this. I own GGmadeit.com and I would love to have everyone here.
Blog Plans
The plans is to update the site and be more consistent with blog posting. I plan to write about knitting, of course, as well as what is going on in my life. If there is something in particular you would like me to write about, leave me a comment below. Please make sure you are signed up for my newsletter.
I also plan to build a page dedicated to my affiliate relationships. Especially Madelinetosh because I now have 6 colors with them! You read it right. I couldn’t even imagine this back in 2014. I have quite a few colors that are named due to my orange influence and I get paid a percentage when you all purchase.. WOW! right? The latest color is called GG Loves Sunsets, get into it 😛
