Yarn in Rochester NY

Rochester NY has been home for me this last month. You know when I travel the first thing I do is ask Siri to find me a yarn store right? Well I found and visited The Village Yarn & Fiber Shop my first weekend here.
The Village is located in East Rochester in a space large enough to keep a yarn lover intrigued. There is a table for folks to sit and chat as well as a room in the back for classes.

They had a lovely collection of yarns and needles and magazines and buttons and cute bags and t-shirts and yeah it was a local yarn store and I was pleased. They had a balance of acrylic and natural fibers so a win-win for all.

Can you believe I didn’t purchase anything? 😳 am I growing up? Will the soon to be 50 year old GG finally slow down on ordering/purchasing yarn? Well wait I did get a bag because I love to support any local yarn shop I visit. I have only ever been in one and walked out empty handed and that was because well: RUDE 😏 anyway back to Rochester and the Village. The staff and customers were welcoming and friendly, which matters big time to me. There is nothing more unsettling than to walk in a yarn store and feel like you have walked into someone’s home uninvited. I mean they don’t have to know my name but they damn sure should be glad I came. LOL can you hear me singing the theme to Cheers in my head? hahahahahahahaha I wanna go to place where everybody knows my name! hahahahahahahahaha

If you are ever in Rochester and are looking for yarn go check them out. You can find them on Facebook and their website. Anyone I asked about yarn, this is the first name that came out of their mouths.

Knit on my fiber friends…knit on
