Follow the fiber..yup I sure did! As you all know I am in Tampa and I am on hunt for yarn stores. It is operation find ALL the fiber!! hahahahahahahaa. Like I don’t have enough at home already..but that is another blog post. Let’s talk about Four Purls, the yarn store I plan to visit on Saturday that is located in Winter Haven, FL. I am told that this yarn store is the largest in Central Florida and is approximately 45 mins to an hour away from me; well yea I can and will drive an hour for yarn. I mean the name of the blog is…well you know the name so you get it!
Well as usual when I arrive in a new city, I ask Siri to find me some local yarn stores. This time I asked my FB family and Four Purls was mentioned quite a few times so I went digging. Well did you all hear me scream when I found out they had not only a store but a yarn truck too? AND said truck would be here in Tampa where I am, while I am here!!!! The fiber Gods love me, don’t be jealous.
I got up nice and early and was instantly upset that I didn’t bring more of my handmade items, because you have to show off right? I figured it’s Florida so why would I need them. Well at least I had my Vivienne Cardigan from Wool and the Gang with me, in all it’s Orange glory!! That baby got tons of attention and it did my heart proud to explain how it was made and what the yarn was..blah. blah and blah! #proudmoment
Of course I got there early because I don’t do late and there it was..sitting there ready for me to pass out in front of it. If you ask me, and you are reading MY blog, so yup you asked..the truck colors are appealing and the slogan “Follow the fiber” PERFECT! because I don’t mind if I do and I did! LOL! Â Below you will find a little video of me on the way and once I arrived
I couldn’t have planned a better day if I had the ability. The temperature was perfect, the truck was parked under a tree and the customers were such a delight. I met some of the nicest folks and the yarn…well yea THAT Part!! What color did you want? What brand were you looking for? Did you need a sample to inspire you? Yup they had it all and I was all but drooling. LOL honestly I had such a nice time. The owner is Laura and her helpful husband is JD. I was patiently waiting as they set up and in the meantime got to talk to Laura for a bit. She said she has had the truck for 3 years now and business was great! She did however, say this would be the last time they would be at Felicitous Coffee and Tea because it’s getting too hot. Thank God I was here right now to experience this and I can’t wait to visit the store. Laura is absolutely my new Fiberfriend!!
So let me stop running my mouth and show you all the sights. Stay tuned for next weekend when I visit the store. Thanks for reading guys, you guys Rock hard!
Oh and this orange bag HAD to come back to the hotel with me, yup it had to. If you can’t catch the truck I am sure next week after my visit you will want to visit the store. Tell them GG said hi!
Knit on my fiber friends…knit on
