  1. I have been following you for a couple of years, and as a fellow African American Knitter, you are an inspiration. I love what you reiterated in the video above of your friend’s motivational speech. I also had fear that stopped me a lot and I said that I’ll get out of my own way. As a 52 year old knitting black runner and yogi, I just completed a week ago two 26.2 marathons 7 days apart, and 2 weeks before the 26.2 mile back-to- back marathons, I ran two 13.1 marathons. I say this because as a 52 year old black vegan runner, runners who run elite times told me no way should I attempt 4 marathons in a month, especially two of those marathons being 26.2 miles back to back. Well, I did and even went to my Bikram yoga classes the next day with no pain. I laughed at those runners words, and they were surprised that yes I did it…at age 52…and I came in 3rd and 4th in the 13.1 marathons in my age and female group. I also came in 9th for one of th e 26.2 Mike marathons for my age and female group. So, yes…we need to do our own thing and get out of our way. We can do many things with a strong will and mind, and of course Knitting meditation helps โ˜บ Knitting is my meditation between training runs and my celebration after races. Thank you also for your sale today on Revelry of the 4 patterns you grouped together. I purchased the grouped patterns as soon as I received the email. Maybe one day I can get to The Rhinebeck Yarn Festival and meet you and the other awesome knitters of Ravelry. Happy Knitting โ˜บ – Donna
