I have often said my dream job would be to travel to all the fiber festivals around the world and vlog. Guys this weekend, at Stitches West, I felt like my dreams are starting to come true.

Guys there was a time that I wouldn’t even talk about my dreams out loud. I had convinced myself this would/could never happen. Ha!! It is so happening and I am completely blown away!!!

GG Dreams At Stitches West

Ok so this dream started early Thursday morning and ended on Sunday evening. I didn’t wake up yet, LOL I am still floating guys. It was amazing! I mean guys, I have a color-way named for me that was dyed by Madelinetosh. The color is called GG loves Orange AND the collaboration also gave birth to a Poncho pattern. The Poncho is called Orange Love Poncho and you can grab it here. Say WHAT!!!???

You can watch my Vlog here I was actually working and had a tight schedule. I had to work the door each morning and get the folks excited. I had meet and greets with 5 different vendors and AND I walked in a fashion show!

The fashion show was the icing on my favorite cake. You guys already know I love meeting the people. I met so many folks that I talk to and was sure I would never actually meet. Like Zee for instance, she has been following me for as long as I have been knitting. It was so good to spend some time with her and Pam.

The Best Part

Gifts, you know I always say you don’t have to give me any, but you guys do it anyway. I received a gift that reduced me to a pile of tears in under 5 minutes flat.

When I was still working for Verizon, something our CEO said was this: Someone is always watching you. I share that because as she was giving this to me, she said this is how I see you. She said thank you for being unapologetically YOU. Yup I fell apart!

The year is shaping up to be pretty amazing and I can’t help but be proud of myself. For those of you that have been around for a while, can you believe this?

    GG, you never cease to amaze me! Keep being the unapologetic YOU. Excellent advice from the Verizon exec, you never, never [my emphasis] know who is watching you. In your case, that’s a good thing.
    So happy for you!!!! Well deserved.

I was going through your old blog posts from this year and came across this one because this is where I met you in person – what a thrill! You were so kind and warm.
