Get Your GLO on | Mad Love 1

GLO is an acronym for the name of Madelinetosh yarn colorway. When I say šŸ—£Get your GLO on, I mean grab you some and let me see whatcha make.

If you are lost for what to make. The MT Community Love Fund offers a digital pattern booklet with a purpose. The booklet is called Mad Love 1. The booklet includes four (4) patterns knit/crocheted in GLO.

MT Community Love Fund

Before I show you the patterns letā€™s talk about why I agreed to this collaboration. The MT Community Love Fund will raise donations through creative collaborations and partnerships. The fund may offer financial grants, scholarships, mentorship, yarn and more to business owners, designers and students in our maker community. The MT Community Love Fund celebrates diversity and will encourage anyone in our community of every race, religion, age, ability, sexual identity, gender identity, skin color and body type to apply, especially BIPOC and LBGTQI+.

There are seven bases in GG loves orange and the patterns include four of them. 100% of the proceeds from the booklet ($20) goes into the fund and 10% of the proceeds from my color goes into the fund.

I love that this fund will help those that are often ignored or overlooked. Grab your copy here.

The Patterns in GLO

Felicia Eve the owner of Stringthing Studio has the Mad Love 1 trunk show, so if you are local you can go check them out, up close and personal. Purchasing the pattern book is how you support the community. As stated above, the proceeds go back into the fund.

I went to the shop before she opened this morning to see them and grab a magazine (thatā€™s a different blog post). Three of the four patterns are so being cast on. I tried on the sweater and fell in šŸ˜

Lazy Sunday State of Mind by Nancy Ricci
On Purpose Scarf by Jewel Washington
Robbin’s Nest Bowl Set by Tamara Kelly
Fall Back Beanie by AnnMarie Baker

I knew the designers had showed out based on the pictures but listen…live and in person is different. I had to grab a new set of needles for the hat! An extra skein of Home fell in my bag..lol because oh Yea to that On Purpose scarf. AND Nancy’s sweater in the triple twist in GLO!! Yes indeed I do need to make this ASAP!!

So I will end with this, if the community aspect didn’t grab you..these patterns should! Thank you for reading and please help me spread the word about the MT Community Love Fund.

Have a Fabulous Day on Purpose

Gaye G.
