How to knit the EASIEST Cowl Ever…..

What time is it? It’s time to knit big or go home! lol seriously you all know I love my fat fibers and big needles. Why? Because I’m lazy! Lol no really, you can’t beat the instant gratification

I was looking for something else and knocked over a bag and guess what? A big ball of orange yarn rolled across the floor. “Welp might as well knit it up.” That is what I said to myself and myself said “ok I’ll grab the big ass needles.” Lol

Easiest Cowl Ever

Material:

approximately 80 yards of Super bulky yarn (I used Loopy Mango Merino no 5)

The color is called Mrs Orange

US50 needles (straight or circulars)

Stitch marker

Tapestry needle

Pattern (2050):

CO 20 stitches using your favorite cast on ( I used long tail)

Join in the round, being careful not to twist your stitches.

Place marker to mark the beginning of the round

Row 1 – knit all stitches

Row 2 – knit all stitches

Row 3 – knit all the dang stitches hahahahahahahahaaaa I said easiest didn’t I?

Ok seriously knit every row for 50 rows 👀 I’m gonna call it the 2050 Cowl!

Once you get to row 50 you have options. I did a crochet bind off because I wanted a ridge. You can bind off and then seam or split the stitches. Half on each needle and do a 3 needle bind off.

Because I’m so very lazy and didn’t want to weave in ends, that’s how the fur Pom Pom was born. Hahahaaaaaa. I just added it to the end of the string. Lazy turned into cute 😋

2050 is deep enough to wear as a hood or just fold over and enjoy the chunk.

You ready to make your own 2050 Cowl? Grab your super bulky yarn and your US50 needles and go for it.

I am doing a 2050 with 1×1 ribbing, you can use any stitch pattern, just CO 20 and knit for 50 rows!

Knit on my fiber friends….knit on

GG
