It’s Saturday and it’s time to shine my spotlight. This weekend belongs to the cutest young lady ever and her name is Kayla. Let me give you a little background here. I am friends with Kayla’s mom and I noticed a post that said Kayla made a big sale. I was like wait what she selling, let me send my money. LOL! I always support my peeps. After talking with her mom I discovered that Lil Miss Kayla was making headbands and selling them, wait what!! I instantly asked her mom could I feature her in the Saturday Spotlight and the rest is, as they say, history. Check her out!
1. Hi Kayla, before we get into the reason for this spotlight, tell me about you. How old are you? What grade are you in?
I am 10 years old and I am going to the sixth grade.
2. Well congratulations, Are you really 10? My goodness, ok so I noticed you have a business now, Kayz Kreationz. Congratulations!! How did this start?
One day I thought about how my mom always bought me them so I decided to try and make some. So I made some and wore one to school. Every girl in my class asked me to make them one so that’s where it all started.
3. AwesomeSauce!! What do you make?
I make flower crowns, flower pens, flower chokers, flower scrunchies and flower bracelets.
4. How long does it take to make one of your Kreationz?
Pens:3min, Crowns:5min. Chokers:2min. Scrunchies:2min. and Bracelets:2min.
5. I saw on Facebook that you were a vendor at an event. How did that go? How many did you sell?
It was scary and exciting. At the first I was very sad because I wasn’t making any money, until the end when I made about $35.00
6. Aww well it sounds like it worked out in the end. Do you have a bestseller?
No I didn’t have a bestseller, they were all very nice. One customer couldn’t make up her mind so she ended up taking two.
7. Well that was good. How much do they cost and how can someone place an order?
