Simple, Modern Knits: a book full of them

Stay tuned as she knits all the patterns, because I got mail! Woot woot my Copy of Weekend has arrived and I couldn’t be more pleased. Simple, modern knits is dead on, as I have already completed 3 of the patterns.

WHY

So GG what is the big deal about this book? Why do you love it so? I am sure that is your question, because I asked myself the same thing.  Please know I have a ton of books. Books that I purchased for one pattern, I don’t recall having a book that I have made multiple patterns. I honestly think it’s the chunk factor coupled with the whole weekend concept. I mean I knit all the time you know that, but she most definitely knits on the weekend, I mean the is what weekends are for, right?  You guys know I am the CEO of #teamlazy so for me to be able to quickly make items that I adore, man listen 😱

Even though I had the Pdf, I sat down and went through the book cover to cover. In the introduction Jen says “simple is doable” that’s it right there, all of the patterns are doable. That statement is huge for me, I don’t want to stress about a project.  I want to enjoy my steady pace to the finish line. This book of yummy patterns does exactly that for me, it has allowed me to enjoy the process AND my lovely stash full of chunky goodness.  You all know for me the yarn comes first, usually, so I am well prepared to knit my way through this book.

Jen has me digging through my stash like a mad woman! Next up is the Minnie, which is the cutest hood ever. I am using Malabrigo Gruesa in the color Amber Gold. I will have pictures when I am done of course. Lol! In the meantime, if you are interested please enter the contest and take a chance to win your very own copy. You have 4 days left to enter and take a chance to win the giveaway. Click the link here and good luck.

Knit on my fiber friends….knit on
