Hey guys! I know it’s late…but daily posts right? RIGHT!! Besides posting daily one of the other goals includes trying to design, lol because try is what I am currently doing. 😳
I have always wanted to make boot cuffs and I figured now is as good a time to try. I eyeballed a few patterns, took some notes and got to knitting.
The first attempt, well let’s just say I made an anklet for an elephant 👀 🙈 After I stopped laughing at myself, I simply knit back and forth and used my leg to measure; there that’s better.
Now that I have the basic formula I am trying different stitches. I have my handy dandy stitch dictionary and American Idol to get me through the night. I will come back with the results.

Boot cuffs can be tough! What brand of yarn is the white?
I think it was premier yarns. Not exactly sure because it was scrap yarn

My sister calls them boot fillers – her legs are so skinny . I don’t have that problem :/ I made hers reversible . Ribbed on one end and mock baby cable on the other. I used a worsted weight yarn.
I am super excited my yarn finally came in . I am casting on my 530 something stitches for my new swirl sweater 😃
530 OMG 😳 you need to be alone for that! 😂 do you use stitch markers to keep track?
Yes you do it in 8 sections of 64 so it was ONLY 513 stitches. I am knitting the 2nd row now 🙂

Also you use two balls of yarn when you cast on. So you don’t run out of your tail.

Of course I know nothing about knitting and yarn, but I found “an anklet for an elephant” so hilarious! I’m just envisioning that, lol.
