Yarn, I love you, let me count the ways....

I really love yarn, don’t you? There is a certain satisfaction that comes when you are wearing a handmade accessory and that infamous question is posed. “Where did you get that?” and the biggest smile creeps across your face and your eyes start to glow, and you very proudly state “I made it!”

I know it may sound silly to some, but yarn has been my teacher, as it has taught me patience. Try unraveling a ball of your precious merino wool that has someone gotten tangled to the point of no return O-o. Yarn has been my therapist; who has time to worry when you are trying cables for the first time or oh my goodness knit from charts. What problems? I need to focus on this yarn in my hands. Yarn has stopped me from crying, because what you are not going to do lady, is get my yarn wet with your salty tears. Go ahead, laugh, but I am so serious. There have been times that something would generate tears and I would look down see that I have yarn in my hands and instantly think…Wait a minute, pity party over right now!! Yarn has also taught me how to budget, because if I run out of money, I can’t buy more yarn and trust me Ain’t nobody got time for that!!!!! hahahahahahaaa tell me what you love most about yarn in the comments below

  1. You left off the one about dieting…I don’t eat foods when I’m knitting…either the hands are too busy to stop or I don’t want the food oils on the yarn. 🙂

  2. Yarn is teaching me focus, patience, ! As a beginner I got the random idea to start an afghan, oh the time involved…I yearn to knit with my other yarn. Reading charts is what gets me to the focus part. I love it though, wouldn’t change a thing. Knitting is truly therapeutic!

  3. Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective.
A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance”
between superb usability and visual appeal. I must say
you have done a very good job with this. Additionally, the blog
loads super fast for me on Firefox. Exceptional Blog!
