When do I knit? Every Damn Day!

 

Every Damn Day, that is when I knit. Every damn day, that is when I fondle yarn. LOL are you wondering what the heck I am talking about? Well I am currently obsessed with  Jen Geigley’s latest book EVERYDAY a casual, modern hand-knit collection.

Who is Jen Geigley is that your question? You know the designer behind the Gaptastic? What is Gaptastic? Seriously? Well read my post about her first book WEEKEND. If you don’t have this one you can get them both now in my Amazon store. Ok now let’s talk about this new baby Every Damn Day (that is what I call it) I was so excited when I got it in the mail. If you are not on my Instagram or Facebook here is my initial reaction

Ok so Jen dropped 11 new patterns in this book. 11 patterns that are sure to keep you knitting Every Damn Day. LOL I can’t stop saying that, but I digress. Just like it’s predecessor, Weekend, one is instantly drawn in by the cover. The absence of color generates a beauty that I can’t quite explain. What I love about this collection of knits is this: there is a pattern in here for every skill level. If you started knitting yesterday, you can knit Every Damn Day. If you have been knitting since Jesus was a boy…you are most likely already knitting #everydamnday lol. This collection has everything from a hat, to a big ass scarf, to sweaters, to cowls AND thigh high socks! Go Jen Go!! Now there are others items in the book and if you want to have a look see, check out the lookbook and drool at all the goodness that is EVERYDAY! I say Mrs Geigley has another hit on her hands. The designs are dramatic yet simple to knit. They are eye-catching, yet not intimidating. They are necessary, if you ask me.

The Patterns 

Just like I promised I jumped into my stash to see what I could cast on immediately.  I found a bag full of crazy sexy wool from Wool and the Gang in black and decided to cast on Leo.

Leo is a big ass scarf full of texture created by I stitch pattern that is new to me, can you see my grin yet? Then there is Gwen which is a cowl//scarf combo thingy that I am going to make next. Man she knows my heart as most of the patterns call for my favorite weight of yarn…FAT! lol! The pieces are perfect compliment to any fall/winter wardrobe and I am here for them all!
