NJ WoolWalk | Day 2 – Bergen County

Guys can you believe day 2 of the NJ WoolWalk is in the books?  I am almost ready to start day 3, still waking up, lol!  Yesterday, here in NJ, was a cold, wet, dreary Tuesday and I almost stayed in the bed. I didn’t though, I got up and headed towards the shops in the northern part of the state. The second day I headed to Bergen county, home of 4 yarns stores.  Although, there are 4 stores I only hit 3 yesterday because I had a late start. I will go to Close Knit tomorrow morning with my Shelbey!

The great part for me is visiting new shops and the first stop was just that, brand new.

  • Knitapestry – is located in Waldwick NJ which is not far from me at all. It is cute little spot with dedicated parking! BONUS! This shop had a nice selection of yarn, I especially noticed the bulky stuff as soon as I walked in the door. As you know I am financially challenged right now, but I try and get something from each store. This place had the cutest little orange scissors

Yarn Diva

  • The Yarn Diva – is located in the cutest little downtown area ever! I visited this shop a few years back, and I can’t say why I haven’t been back. It’s not really that far from me, so the plan is to go back. This yarn store has a ton of specialty yarns, a lot of glitter and fancy stuff. They have the cutest bags with Yarn divas on them. Yarn Diva

Yarn Dezvous

Yarn Dezvous – is another shop located in a super cute downtown area.  This my last stop for the day and I was happy that each shop said they had crowds, folks were still coming out in the rain. Guys, Lori (the owner) had the Casablanca from Cascade yarns. Remember that rainbow shawl I did for my Etsy shop?  They had that yarn in clearance and 20% off! YES!!! I got pretty spring colors his time! Casablanca

The purchases

I stuck to the sale bins but I had to support, hell in one store I just grabbed buttons. Am I the only one that feels bad if I don’t get something. I need help, but don’t send help! hahahahahahahahaaa! So I got one skein of Classy by Dream. I love shades of orange and this skein was screaming my name.  Dream in Color calls this color Hello Sunshine. Of course I had to get the orange scissors, I mean..I had to! In reference to the scissors, it was a toss between the orange and the heart shaped pair. You guys know I love hearts! UGH!!! The last purchase, a steal if you ask me, was the Casablanca is the most beautiful spring shades. I am ABSOLUTELY going back to get the rest.

My purchases

Today starts with Stephen West..that should be fun. Stay tuned
