Rhinebeck 2015: my haul

Two posts in one day, I know this is too much but I had to share, lol! Everyone I know goes to Rhinebeck for the awesome yarn and boy oh boy are there options; so many that one could easily become overwhelmed. I say this out of first hand knowledge because that was me last year. You guys know I am like a termite when it comes to yarn, nothing is safe! I can and have done damage when I am surrounded by yarn. Well last year at Rhinebeck I was so lost, it was too much and I didn’t have a plan!

Not this time baby! I went with Briar Rose in mind and was determined to find them. I fell in love with  this yarn probably about 2 or 3 years ago. I went to Yarn Company in NYC for a needle tasting and laid my eyes on Buff Beauty and it was love at first sight. If you remember last year I didn’t even know they were there so I was on a mission to find them. Well how about I found them within the first 10 minutes on the fairgrounds. I had Shelbey get in (She is so good to me) line while I got on my hands and knees and touched all the yummy!

IMG_8049When it was all said and done I ended up with 5 skeins of beautifully chunky yarn. You guys know how I feel about bulky, super bulky and Damn! when it comes to yarn. Well, I am now the proud owner of 2 skeins of Buff Beauty and 3 skeins of Dream Weaver. Go me! In all honesty that was it, I was good and could have turned around and went back home… But I wouldn’t have missed the Ravelry meet up and I was determined NOT to do that again.  The colors are numbers and mine were not tagged. I can guess but instead here is a link  for Buff Beauty and Dream Weaver so you can see the color options for yourself.  This will be my first experience with Dream Weaver, but I love a thick n think yarn so I am sure I will be just as happy as I am with Buff Beauty.  Here is a close up look of my new babies:

Back up! I see you trying to touch my babies. LOL keep your hands to yourself! hahahahahahahahaa!

I was a little jealous of the folks that are still there today until I saw on Periscope how much colder it is today, so I’m good. 😋

Knit on my fiber friends…knit on
