So who didn't KNIT on KNIT IN PUBLIC DAY?

Worldwide KNIT in public day was Saturday, June 9, 2018 and who managed not to knit one stitch? *raises hand, slowly* LOL! I was all prepared to sit down and work on my European Road Trip Shawl, right? WRONG! Now that I think about it, I didn’t even sit down! LOL! I really wanted to show off my custom dyed yarn from Chelsea Yarns.

I have repeated multiple times that the best part of this Fiber journey for me is the people. As soon as I arrived (I was a little late) but as soon as I arrived the hugs began! LOL! I don’t think I sat down at all at Bryant park!

We ended the wonderful day at String Thing Studio in Brooklyn to celebrate the 1st year in business. It was at Bryant Park last year that I heard of a new shop opening in Brooklyn. I then saw Kristy Glass interview the owner Felicia and I knew we had to meet. Our stories were so similar as we both lost our moms and that lost put us where we are now. I love when you meet someone and it’s instant connection!

I am so happy for Felicia and I wish her many many more good years to come. If you find yourself in Brooklyn, please stop in for a visit. You can thank me later.
