WIP Wednesday presents The Fiberseed

Happy WIP day! Yes for us it’s a special day. It’s time to show what you are working on and tell us the details.

I do a post weekly on my Facebook page and I am not sure why I didn’t blog about it, but no worries. Starting today this will be a weekly post, so make sure you subscribe to the blog.

This weeks WIP presents a new yarn for me, a yarn I purchased while in Tampa. I purchased it at the only yarn store in Tampa. lol I like saying that.

THE YARN

The yarn is called Sprout and it comes from The Fiberseed. Lindsay is the owner/dyer of this American made yarn that I was so very happy to purchase. Sprout is a fingering weight yarn, I know…it’s not bulky and it’s not orange. Lol Sprout is a 90/10 merino/nylon blend that I am truly enjoying.

So I have been on a shawl kick as of late, so a shawl it is. I am not following a pattern, just doing the increase on one side and decrease on the other. That gives me the long tails that I love. I am using a US6 needle and throwing a little lace in there every so often, so basically I’m winging it! Lol 😂

Now it’s your turn. What are you working on? What’s on your needles and hooks?

Knit on my fiber friends…knit on

  1. Hey GG,
Happy Spring, Lady!!! I’m so in a rut right now! I’m taking my time with the WATG Get Around Jumper and the WATG Rose Cardigan. I’m stumped on that Rose Cardigan because I thought I could crochet!!! Lol ! Hopefully I can finish that Jumper before Spring is really in effect! The cardigan is 6.5 mm hook and I think the jumper is a 15 needle! I have to complete something as my first project of 2017!!! Lol. I need a knitting club!

      1. Hey Girl,
Thanks for replying to me so fast. I did. I’m not stumped stumped, just lack of motivation right now. I’m a host with them, and I usually teach a party and meet like minded crafters. I’m just lonely in my knitting life, if that makes sense! lol

    1. Your shawl looks J’AMAZING!!! I’m just so uninspired right now. It’s been 2 years in May that my fave yarn store closed in Philadelphia. I need some like minded Yarn Hoes to craft with!!!

  2. I love making up patterns! The colours in this look amazing 🙂 I literally just finished my 4th baby surprise jacket for a friend, now I can get back to my central park hoodie 🙂
